GLAUCOMA MAY BE AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE

One study believes that glaucoma can be auto-immune disease. Eye cure Glaucoma affects about 70 million people worldwide. Glaucoma is the second largest cause of blindness after cataract. The immune system usually protects the body from illnesses and infections but the immune system in Auto-immune Disease attacked its healthy cells.







The study made on rats was obviously that the body cells are responsible for the retinal 'DE-generation' that appears in Glaucoma. Apart from this, cells obviously stretch on retinal neurons. This search indicates that the treatment of glaucoma can be developed by curbing these activities of auto-immune.
